Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
All seats are adjustable, and passengers have a two-way memory system for added comfort. Depending on the trim, the driver’s seat can even memorise up to 16 positions. Auto-dimming rearview mirrors and wireless smartphone charging are standard for the whole lineup. The temperature is controlled via a tri-zone climate control system. All seats are heated and a heated steering wheel is also standard. There are leather-perforated seating surfaces for the entry-level trim and ultrasuede leather surfaces seatings with contrast stitching in higher trims.
Technology, Infotainment, and Connectivity
All models have a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen display, through which you can control the navigation system. There are multi-angle rearview cameras for the Tech and A-Spec trims, while upper trims also have surround rear-view cameras available. Features like traffic sign recognition and adaptive cruise control are standard for everyone.
There are three options for audio systems. The entry-level model has an ELS Studio Premium audio system. The A-Spec and Platinum Elite have an ELS Studio 3D audio system with 16 speakers and a subwoofer. The flagship model has an ELS Studio Signature Edition with 25 speakers and a subwoofer. Features like AcuraLink subscription services, HD radio, USB charge ports, and 4G WiFi are standard across the lineup.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
The new MDX has a long list of standard safety features, both active and passive. Passive features include airbags and a vehicle stability assist system with traction control. Driving assists include a lane departure warning, a collision mitigation brake system, a hill start assist, anti-lock brakes, low-speed braking control, and a road departure mitigation system.
