Acura's Vision for First All-Electric SUV | The Precision EV | Now in North Vancouver

As car manufacturers are steering towards the EV concept, Acura takes its first step towards launching an all-electric SUV that plans to hit the market in 2024, in North Vancouver. Named the Acura Precision EV concept, Acura introduced it at Monterey Car Week, which is one of the top gatherings for carmakers and enthusiasts alike.

What Can You Expect?
The concept focused on the design and performance of the soon-to-be-manufactured EV, along with how it was inspired by certain Italian powerboats. Acura has pushed itself and set new expectations with this concept that details technology and design with a fresh approach. The EV concept was put forward for manual and automatic transmissions. The futuristic design of this EV will give electric vehicles a new standard to live up to.
Performance
Precision-crafted performance is what the brand is aiming to deliver by committing themselves to an electrified future path, as said by James Marchand, assistant VP for Acura Canada. He said that the Acura Precision EV concept will pave the way for a new direction that focuses on zero emissions and the best client experience.
Design
The elegant design of this concept car takes inspiration from luxury Italian power boats. It has an athletic stance, sleek design, and a splendid silhouette. The concept was presented in an Apex blue colour that comes in a matte finish. This modern, futuristic design takes SUVs to a new level and away from the otherwise bulky exteriors they were commonly known for. It will also feature large 23-inch wheels, giving this EV some of the best ground clearance in its class.
Lighting
In terms of lighting, the concept has taken a theatrical approach. It features an electrified powertrain, along with Acura’s diamond pentagon grille and front and rear lighting fascias.
Additional Features
It will come with a two-grip yoke-style steering wheel and the cockpit is inspired by Formula One race cars with a low slung driving position. It will also deliver a splendid performance experience and a spiritual lounge mode for autonomous operation. The cabin is crafted with splendid interiors using sustainable, environmentally responsible materials. This includes a unique marble-finished recycled plastic trim, along with 100% biomass leather finishing. The aluminum used for the car is also made using recycled materials.
Conclusion
Although EVs have been around for a while, they weren’t defined so uniquely as they are with this precision-crafted performance EV. The lineup will feature five distinctive models, which will include a sedan, crossover, and SUV, along with a supercar.
